The Raving Lunatic

Regrets

I wrote this on my laptop as soon as I hit my bed immediately upon entering my hotel room. It was about 1AM. I typed with closed eyes because of exhaustion. Why? The day was just too much for me I couldn’t let pass what I felt…

Had a really long day. Tiring, frustating and sad… albeit above all, we managed to keep on.

Krae lost her iPod which came as a shock. Justin was guarding the bag with the iPod when we found out that it was already open. That was more than 12 hours ago, when we were about to go on with all smiles ready for our first time experience touring a new country which was colder than what we had all expected. We weren’t prepared, at the back of our minds we thought it was cold, but not cold enough to force Mabel to go on shopping for new clothes after realizing that most of her luggage items won’t go nicely with the climate.

We were really enjoying last night walking through the empty roads of Macau. This morning we toured the Senado Square and St. Paul Ruins area early in the morning, and after eating breakfast, we were greeted with the news of the stolen ipod, which came with it unrecoverable files of Krae. It was hard, harder than typing this while fighting with sleepiness with eyes closed, hard for both of us Mabel and me to enjoy while two of our mates were sick and worried about the loss. Nonetheless, we were able to tour Fisherman’s wharf, the Lotus flower, Macau Tower and the Venetian even if it was obvious the zeal I had felt among my friends were replaced by crankiness and stupor. We came back to the hotel much later than expected, so much that we missed the last free bus shuttle service of the casino and ended up paying 7 pataca each more than the usual. It was still an experience to not forget. I just wished my friends were able to enjoy the beautiful city without any of the regrets they had to carry all day.
