So long 400D. Not a week of teeny mourning as passed and here your replacement came. Jerry’s shipment was a day late because of typhoon Nina but it arrived in time for my Mt. Batulao climb. Moving from an all Canon setup to a D90 was effing overwhelming the controls were everywhere and inverted up to now I’m still confused handling this baby.

Just a quick test shot focused on the name plate. More shots to follow. :)

Good riddance?!

Goodbye Kiss… It wasn’t really that great knowing you. You deserve a better parent as I don’t love you anymore. You can’t take ISO 51200 and you really failed me that one time when I tried capturing a fired bullet, costing me that lustrous Pulitzer.

Hehe. joke lang. I loved this workhorse, my baby for almost a year. My photography knowledge went from zero to a state where I now think of F1/2.8 when I see a dead cat even in my dream, to 4” when my mind’s confused and blurry as hell.

What now? =( I’m camera-less for my climb next week!

Meet Alex!

I had to! I knew I do and up to now I’m still convincing myself that this is not a stupid purchase. No one could understand why I bought a point and shoot more expensive than my DSLR Kiss, including me.

Canon Powershot G9

Bought this for our 2 day getaway Batangas retreat. Probably the most costly result of my over-impulsiveness, I promised mommy Kato I’d slow down for good if I still want to set myself on track with my original plans.

Still couldn’t think of a name. Pictures tomorrow. I’m still too tired. Short review for the mean time: It’s all worth it.

End year bash!

I hurriedly scoured Hidalgo yesterday coming straight from work. I was literally running shop by shop – it was already 630pm when I got there and stores are closing already!

Got myself a 50mm 1.8 lens. :) I needed it because the following day, which is today, is supposed to be a happy one as we decided to spend the last office day of the year in a carnival. Well, it turned out to be one hell of disaster. Nevertheless, I got the chance to test it during our “Happy Hour:”

Also really happy to have bought a National Geographic Midi Sling Bag! Suddenly at work, everyone wanted to buy one too. It’s probably the first time I can remember ever liking something as mundane as a bag. It’s also frustratingly hard to find one of these nowadays. Aready sold too my Tamrac 5515 (inset) to Lotus.

Nat Geo Bag

As always, my Bohol post is late again! I need more time.
